asleep Video: aSleep iPhone application

If you find it difficult sometimes to get to sleep at night (insomnia), here's a good excuse to make use of your belove it iPhone while in bed. aSleep is an application designed to generate soothing sounds to relax the person desiring sleep and to drown out any other sounds that might disturb your sleep. It has a timer function for controlling how long the sounds should last and by default the timer is set to 15 hours. The volume of sound produced by aSleep on the iPhone's speaker is quite good and there is a huge range of sounds to choose from. Of course, this won't work for the iPod Touch, as there isn't an external speaker.

Here's a video demo…

So, if aSleep sounds like something that could interest you, you might be happy to know that it's currently available for download via iTunes App Store for just 59p, which isn't too bad if you're sleep deprived!
